– Your full name

– Order details, including items purchased, amounts, and order history
We do not store your card details on our servers. Payment processing is handled entirely by Paystack (see Section 5).
2.2 When You Subscribe to a Mailing List
When you complete a subscription form on this site, including forms for Simeon’s Clarity Network (SCN), the Celebrity Creative Bootcamp (CCB), or the general blog/newsletter, we collect:
– Your name
– Your email address
– Any additional fields you voluntarily complete (such as profession or area of interest, where offered)
2.3 When You Browse the Website (Automatically Collected)
Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical data when you visit, including:
– IP address
– Browser type and version
– Device type
– Pages visited and time spent
– Referring URL (where you came from)
– Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)
This data is collected through Google Analytics and is used only to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
– To process and fulfil your book orders — including sending order confirmations and delivery updates
– To manage your subscription — sending you the newsletter, letters, or updates you signed up for
– To communicate with you — responding to enquiries you send us
– To improve the website — using anonymised analytics data to understand usage patterns
– To show relevant advertising — where you have consented to cookies, we may use data to serve relevant content through Facebook and Google platforms
– To comply with legal obligations — retaining transaction records as required by applicable Nigerian tax and commercial law
We will never use your data for any purpose beyond what is described here without first informing you and, where required, obtaining your consent.
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:
– Contract performance — processing your order and delivering your purchase
– Consent — subscribing to our mailing list; accepting cookies for analytics or advertising
– Legitimate interests — understanding website usage and improving our content and services
– Legal obligation — retaining financial records as required by Nigerian law
You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing, without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WE USE
We work with a small number of trusted third-party services that may process your data. Each is named here with a plain description of their role.
5.1 Paystack (Payment Processing)
When you purchase a book, your payment is processed by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Paystack collects your card details and billing information directly on their secure platform. We do not receive or store your card information. Paystack’s privacy policy is available at paystack.com/privacy.
5.2 Sendy (Email Marketing)
Our mailing lists are managed through Sendy, a self-hosted email marketing platform installed on our own server infrastructure. This means your subscriber data — name and email address — is stored on our server, not on a third-party platform’s servers. Emails are delivered via Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), which processes your email address for the purpose of delivery only. Amazon SES privacy information is available at aws.amazon.com/privacy.
5.3 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website. Google Analytics collects anonymised data about your browsing behaviour using cookies. This data is processed by Google and may be stored on servers outside Nigeria. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
5.4 Meta (Facebook) Pixel
We use the Facebook Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, to understand how visitors interact with our website after seeing our content or advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel collects data about your actions on this site (such as pages visited and purchases made) and associates this with your Facebook profile where applicable. You can manage your Facebook advertising preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences. Meta’s privacy policy is available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
5.5 WordPress and WooCommerce
This website is built on WordPress with WooCommerce for ecommerce functionality. Both are open-source platforms. Order and customer data is stored in our WordPress database, hosted on our server. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect this data.
6. COOKIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use the following types of cookies:
– Essential cookies — required for the website to function, including maintaining your shopping cart session during a purchase. These cannot be disabled.
– Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about how the site is used. You can decline these via our cookie banner.
– Marketing cookies — set by the Facebook Pixel to track conversions and support advertising. You can decline these via our cookie banner.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of the site, including the checkout process.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain your data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:
– Order data — retained for a minimum of 6 years in line with Nigerian financial record-keeping requirements
– Subscriber data — retained for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your data is removed from the active list within 30 days
– Analytics data — retained per Google Analytics default settings (up to 26 months) in anonymised form
– Enquiry data — retained for 12 months after the last communication, then deleted
8. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
– Right to access — you may request a copy of the data we hold about you
– Right to correction — you may request that inaccurate data be corrected
– Right to deletion — you may request that we delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
– Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g. mailing list subscription), you may withdraw at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly
– Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interests
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. We will respond within 30 days.
9. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These measures include SSL encryption on all data transmitted to and from this website, access controls on server environments, and regular review of our data handling practices.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
